We like kids !!!

At Forest Dental Center we treat kids special. We know how "scary" it can be to go to the dentist's office and we take extra care to make it easier.
Around age two, when your child can sit in our chair, we have our first official appointment. We encourage you to make this appointment in the morning when your child is rested.
At the beginning we try to know you better and we want you and your child to know us better and feel safe. Our sympathetic receptionist will introduce you to a doctor and show dental office.
We encourage active participation of your children in a visit. We will explain what we are going to do and ask your child about every day topics like school, friends, pets.
Parents are encouraged to "sneak-a-peek" during the visit - seeing is believing! Mom and Dad are usually amazed how wonderful their children listen and behave during their dental visit.
Occasionally, a child may cry during some part of the visit. This is normal behavior and usually the child will work their way through it with our compassionate coaxing.

The First Visit consists of a complete dental exam and cleaning which includes checking for cavities and gum disease, checking the bite for correct alignment of the jaws, checking the development of the teeth, and x-rays will be taken based on the needs of your child. The appointment also includes a final consultation to discuss any further questions or necessary dental treatment. Every appointment ends with a special photo of your child with the doctor and a trip to the sticker and pencil box for a job well done!

We welcome children with special needs and disabilities to our office.
